By PVAHA Board of Directors

On May 14, 2021, CDC stated that fully vaccinated people can resume activities without wearing masks or physically distancing, except where required by federal, state, local, tribal, or territorial laws, rules and regulations, including local business and workplace guidance.

On May 14, 2021, the State of Maryland stated that fully vaccinated people can forego masks inside and outside with the exception of public transportation, healthcare services and while indoors in any portion of a school.

On May 28, 2021, the Commonwealth of Virginia lifted the mask mandate for fully vaccinated people to align with CDC guidelines, as well as, all distancing and capacity restrictions.

PVAHA has removed the Return to Play Guidelines from the website as this is a rapidly evolving situation and changes by state, local and territorial laws seem to be changing daily. Much like with COVID-19, each county has their own rules separate from their respective states. PVAHA will leave the decision up to the local rinks to decide on the use of masks, locker rooms, penalty boxes, distancing and capacity.

Please check the guidelines of the rink you are playing in or traveling to prior to your arrival so you can “Know Before You Go.” Information from rinks will be posted on the PVAHA website as they update their respective policies.
